Hello,
We have a townhome built in 1963 and the sliding door is a Mayfair Skyview. There isn't a receptacle on the inside of the sliding door for the lock to latch onto. It could be that, if I just find a compatible part for that, I'd be able to lock the door. I would still have to deal with getting a key for the outside keyhole. Not sure if that is an easy fix for me or even for a locksmith?

This is a very, very old style door. I'm not personally familiar with what kind of keeper it used, but please give us a little time to look into it. We'll try to get back to you as soon as we can.

Looking at your latch hook inside the door, it looks like it would take a hook-type keeper. With that in mind, take a look at the 89-005 keeper, which was used on Daryl doors, and the 89-040, which was used on the Miller patio door. Review both and see if you think either of these could work on your patio door.
If not, you might want to consider the 82-005 surface mounted patio handle along with the 82-306 exterior key handle.

Thank you, so much. I'm going to get all 3 and see what works.
