Proper Window balance

I have Milgard windows and need to replace a pair of balances. I've narrowed it down the S385 and 33" balance, but do not know what weight to give it. The stamping on the old balances are 32-4-JQ Caldwell. Also, is the 16-002 a standard take out clip that likley works on Milgard?

16-002 is a very common replacement for most metal take out clips. It's really common with Series 385 balances and Milgard windows. I can't say for sure if it will work without seeing your old clip, but usually 16-002 is the best bet.

As for your weight option, the old stamp of "32-4" indicates you would want "3240." You can weigh your window to double-check, but 3240 is the weight option that your old balance used.
