Identify Balances

A contractor from Bethlehem, PA. 18017 says:

Hello again Swisco,

I am preparing to order window balances & want your expertise in identifying them so I order correctly. I believe I have a Series S 795 Plain Balance with the 36B Option with 1 ¼" 15-195 Balance Shoe, & 2 ½" 26-021 Pivot Pins. All measurements are correct, with one difference.

As you can see by the photos my balance has a very significant indentation at the lower end of the channel balance, which is not seen on the Plain S 795.

Question # 1

Is this a suitable replacement? If not is there a different Balance which is suitable?

The balances also have foam sticky pads at the top of the Cannel balances to keep them centered in the channel.

Question # 2

Do you have these Sticky pads available for purchase?

I also have one of the windows which is broken at the bottom where the pivot pin is connected. I believe this sash is going to need replacing, can you direct me to a outlet that I can order a replacement lower sash with grids?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

Hello,

It looks like your window should use S795-36 tilt balance with a 36B spring weight option. You'll also need our 26-021 pivot bar. The stick on rubber pad was produced by Patriot and is not available from the balance manufacturer. You might be able to lift them off the old balances and put on the new balances. They aren't necessary in the operation of the window. When it comes to replacing the insulated glass with grids, contact your local glass shop and they can get you a new insulated glass unit for your sash.Thank you!
