Re: pivot lock shoe replacement for window

Quick Learner
Hi!
I'm looking for replacements for pivot lock shoes for my windows. I don't know what brand of window they are (other than the material is vinyl) or have a part number for them. The rest of the window is fine but this particular part has crumbled from weather effects or age I suppose. Do you have a matching part & how can I find the correct size since it's tough to measure it accurately. Any help would be appreciated & thanks for your time

Thanks for posting. This pivot shoe appears similar to either our 15-175 or 15-177, but it's hard to tell without seeing it removed from the window or knowing its exact dimensions. The best way to identify these parts is to remove them from the jamb and compare their width and thickness (the two most important measurements) to those we have in our pivot shoe section. Check out the video below to see how you can remove the shoe from the jamb.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for your response. I managed to get one of the pivot shoes out but the measurements aren't exactly the same. I think the 15-175 is closest. The height is the same but the width I measured is 1 3/16". Would that be close enough? I've also enclosed new pictures since you don't have a reverse view I wasn't sure if the pivot shoes are the same. This leads me to my next question. Do I need a new coil and how do I measure/replace it if I do? Thanks so much for your help.

I agree with Tom, especially now that I see this picture. our 15-175 looks like a close match. Just triple check your measurements to make sure they aren't closer.
