Replace pivots

Question

Many pivots won't slide with window and are stuck on bottom. Not sure how to remove (or replace). Home was built end of 2012.
Not sure if I need other parts or just this piece.
Will hire handyman to fix.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We don't sell this exact pivot shoe, but we've recommended the 15-199 to customers with the same part. The compatible springs are sold separately, the 1/2" S160 and 3/8" S165. The video below goes over how to pick the correct coil spring for your window.

I'm not sure what needs to be replaced from this photo, however, so we recommend you inspect the coil springs and pivot shoe for damage. It's also a good idea to check the pivot bar at the bottom of the window sash to see if it's worn or damaged.

Note that when it comes to coil balances, you only need to replace what's broken.
