Is there a secret to removing the damaged "vent latch" on the window sash?
I have your item #26-148 but I don't know how to remove the damaged latch without damaging the sash.
Many thanks for your time and attention to this question.
Sincerely,
Thom

Thanks for posting. Place a sharp chisel above the vent latch and then tap the chisel with a hammer to break the plastic tab on the back of latch. This should allow you to remove it.

Many thanks. Worked for me. Given I didn't know what was holding it the chisel worked. Then I tried an awl and worked it into the top center of the vent latch and just put a little pressure and the latch was released.
Again, many thanks.
