I am trying to replace a pair of balances and need help identifying what I need. The balance is 23" long 5/8" deep and a 1/2" wide. The channel itself has a slightly curled edge as well. There are no markings anywhere on it. The sash itself weighs 20lbs. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for posting! Before I can offer an applicable replacement for this channel balance, I just need to know a bit more information about the bottom attachment. Please take a look at our 15-004 and 15-005 channel balance shoes, and note their depths. As you can see, they are 1-3/32" deep and 1" deep, respectively. Which one more closely matches your own bottom attachment?ur sash?

The 15-005 is the closest match for the shoe I currently have.

Thank you. In that case, I recommend that you consider our S380-23 channel balance. I know that the top attachment is different, but the top attachment's shape doesn't matter so much as long as it fits within the jamb. It's merely a guide to keep the balance steady.
Now, with a sash weight of 20 pounds, I'd also recommend the 2240 option. Let me know what you think!
