Replacement Channel balance

27" channel balance 26HD needed. I don't think a ribbed channel balance e.g. S751-27 will work because the sash lock must project into the jamb liner and the ribbed channel would leave no room for the sash lock. The arrangement of the rivets for the spring and S hooks in the S751 is what I need but in a non-ribbed model. Can you point me to the right model; I can't find it on your site. Much appreciation for your help. I have repaired the balances in the past and can easily do the repair if I had the right part.

Thanks for contacting us. This type of balance will have to be specially made. I believe it would be our S770-27 with a 15-014 knife shoe attached to the cord and a rivet in the second hole down from the top. Does that sound good to you?
There is just one concern I have before we start on this. I think the stamp would be our 27C for a sash weighing 17 through 22 pounds. I would like you to weigh your sash on a scale to confirm that it falls in that range.
I would also like you to tell me how many you need. Once I know the sash weight and quantity, we will email you a special order link and price quote.

The sashes weigh 23 pounds. Would that indicate a 27D?
I would need a pair of balances.
Much thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Rick

If the sash weighs 23 pounds, then our 27D option would be better, yes. We will email you a special order link for a pair right now.
