Replacement Coils for Simonton Windows

Home Owner from Union, Kentucky

I have several large Simonton Windows that have broken coils. I have attached a few pictures of the broken pieces and will need to order 5 sets of parts. One of the pictures is the information for the one of the windows but all of them are almost the exact same deminsion/weight.

On one of the coils it has the stamp: Omega #5.5 64". I also need the upper plastic parts that have the two screws in them.

Thanks for posting. Can you show us the pivot shoe that this assembly connects to? The identity of the pivot shoe determines the identity of the coil springs as well as the other components you need. Many thanks.

Perfect, thanks. This looks our 15-111 Pivot Shoe. This shoe uses our Series 160 1/2" springs or our Series 165 3/8" springs; you'll need to remove your old coil springs and compare the thickness to compare. If one of the springs is stamped #5, you would need a 5 lb spring. If you're uncertain, give us the exact weight of your window sash and we'll work out the rest. For a new coil support, see our 15-150D

One last question. For each window there are QTY. 2 #5 1/2" springs on each side. Can I buy QTY. 1 #10 1/2" spring instead for each side?

Great question! Yes, you certainly can use the S160-10 10 lb spring instead, along with 15-150S single supports. Believe me, this will make installation a lot easier too.
