Replacement Handle

Question

We are needing to replace the handle on this old sliding glass door. We are purchasing this house and need a way to lock it. We have searched all over the door and the handle for any form of manufacturer numbers and we are unable to find any. The pictures are of the front and the side view of the handle that is there but does not lock. If you need any further pictures or information please let me know. In the picture when you look at the side view, it looks like there is something in the handle, there is. It's paper. We just haven't taken it out.

Thanks for contacting us! The handle set you currently have installed on your door looks like our 82-005 surface-mount handle set. Is all you needed was a new handle? You mentioned that you couldn't lock your door, but I'm not sure if that means you needed an outside key lock or if the latch hook on your inside handle didn't work for whatever reason. If you did need an outside key lock, consider our 82-306. This is fully compatible with the 82-005.
