Replacement Needed

Quick Learner
I could not find any information from these windows.
There is no label or serial number on the window.  We purchased our house in 2007 from Orleans Homes, which later went bankruptcy.
There seems no way I can identify the manufacturer of the windows. My old balances are block & tackle rods.
According to SWISCO website, this is an obsoleted old type that can be replaced by other types.

Any advice will be appreciated!

The plastic rod diameter is 1/4”.

The spring diameter is 1/2”.

Do you have other types of balances that may fit 1/2" channel?

Hello! This is the old crossbow balance, which hasn't been made in a long time. The good news is that we've successfully used our Series 795 as a replacement, though it takes a bit of handiwork to get it right. The video below will explain everything you need to do step by step.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the viedeo!  My original ticket started with a pair of Series 795 Channel Balances that do not fit my window's 1/2" channel.  The balance is slightly bigger than my window channel openning, as shown in attached picture.  Please advice how to work around this problem.
Thanks,
Don

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble. The Series 795 that Tom suggested is correct replacement for the old 1/2" crossbow balance. It should be compatible in all the same applications. Try to install the bottom T-lock in the track first and see if that opens it up some, allowing you to slide the balance channel in the track. Once you clear the opening of the track, the channel should fit.
