Replacement Part for MW/Patriot Window Sash Balance

Question

House built by Ryan Homes in 2008, windows are MW/Patriot. This is the bottom of the sash balance and its the same issue in approximately 8 to 10 of the windows where the plastic hook at the top has cracked and the balance no longer works, the springs are still good.

I'm afraid you won't be able to replace this shoe. This is an older version used on a balance that was crimped at the end, which explains the groove you see running along the stem of this pivot shoe. The manufacturer decided to stop making the balance this way, and there is no longer a crimp. This means that the modern 15-195 will not work on your balance channel, since it lacks a groove. You will need an all new Series 795 channel balance.
