Replacement Window Balance Shoe (590CSB)

A contractor from Savannah, GA says:
Hello,

Thanks for your assistance in locating this replacement part.

The window will not stay up. I have determined that the window will not stay up because the window balance shoe is broken and cannot attach to the window. The shoe is also missing the blue bushing. Probably because it's broken and cannot contain the bushing in the first place.

Window Type: Twin Seal Single Hung H-R25-46x47.

I believe all that is needed to fix this window is to replace the balance shoe. All other parts seem to function as intended.

Could you provide the part number for the correct replacement shoe?

Thanks.

We can definitely supply a match for your old shoe. Thing is, your old shoe isn't made anymore, so we'll have to go with a substitute. Since yours appears to be 9/16" thick, see our 15-121 to start out. You may want to triple check your dimensions just to make sure they match. For further confirmation, the 15-121 is designed to work with pivot bars like our 26-040. I cannot tell for sure from your photo if this is the same kind of pivot bar you have in your window. If it differs, then we'll need to see it.

Thank you.

I intend on purchasing the 15-121 (9/16") and the 15-047 (5/8") just in case.

Please see attached pictures and advise on pivot bar.

Will the 26-040 pivot bar fit the 15-121 and 15-047?

Thanks again.

The 26-040 can fit in both of those pivot shoes, yes, but the other side of that coin is: will it also fit in your sash? In your case, I'm not so sure.

In terms of design, our 26-366 looks like it might be a better option. The only caveat is that the "tip" that goes into the shoe looks longer on yours than it is on ours. While the 26-366 may fit in your sash, it may not be long enough to reach the pivot shoe.

So we have two options: the 26-040, which may not fit in your sash, and the 26-366, which may not fit in your shoe. I think ultimately it will be between these two options, neither of which are ideal. Look them over, especially the hole placement, and let me know your thoughts.

A contractor from Savannah, GA says:
Can I order and then return if the product doesn't fit?

I'm inclined to order both just in case and to save time.

Yep, that's totally doable. You can see our return policy here.

Thanks for considering us! I'd love to hear which one, if either, ends up working.
