Replacement balance and coil for double hung window

I had Ideal double hung windows installed in July 2019 and last week the coil snapped. It is located on the bottom panel, on the right side. There are two numbers on the balance: the bottom has 6R and the top one has 6# (see photo). I haven't taken the balance out of the window so I can keep it shut and locked. Please let me know if I need to remove it to photograph it. Can you let me know if you have replacement balances and coils?

Thanks for reaching out to us! I am confident we can supply you with the replacement coil assemblies or coil balance springs you need to make your repairs but I'll need a bit more information to confirm.

May I see a photo of an unobstructed view of the coil housing. I'll need to see the came at the center of the bottom of the shoe to determine the best replacement options for your window.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have in the meantime.

Attached is a photo of the bottom of the balance in the other window. Can you tell which balance it is from this photo? If not, I will have to take the window apart.

I need to see an unobstructed view of the housing. You'll need to remove the sash to provide this photo.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Attached are pictures of the balance.
- Balance piece labeled 6R = 2.25"L x 1.25"W x .5+"D (more like 9/16"D) - the coil on this one has the number "600" stamped into it (or 009, depending how you look at it).
- Balance piece labeled 6# = 1.625"L x 1.25"W x .5+"D (more like 9/16"D) - I don't see a number on the this coil but they look the same.
- The connectors in-between the two pieces is 5/8"L

The other two pictures are the piece that slides into the window frame to hold it into the balance. The length is 2 7/8" x about 5/16" wide. (This doesn't need to be replaced but I thought you might need the measurement.)

Thanks for the photos! Your bottom balance housing appears to be the 15-087 Coil Housing Pivot used along with the 15-086 Tandem Coil Housing on top. Carefully review and compare the dimensions to those shown below to determine if these are the correct replacements. I am confident these are the replacement you'll need.

These coil housings are both compatible with the Series 180 Coil Balance. Since yours are stamped with a 6, you'll need the S180-06.

Your mounting bracket looks pretty similar in style to the 16-024 Mounting bracket. Although, yours appears to have a slight bends on the edge but this should still work.

To replace the pivot bar, you can use the 26-422 Pivot Bar, which should be a direct replacement. Be sure to look over the dimensions to confirm.
