Replacement balancers

Quick Learner
Hi. I had someone look at my windows and said I need 2 each of S745- 26 and S745-16. When I called to order they said I had to weigh the window which was almost 12 lbs. They said that did not make sense nor did needing 2 different lengths for the same windows that measure the same length were the balace goes in on both sides. Thank you

Hello! If you have confirmed that you need the 16" length for the Series 745, then you want to choose a 15.25-4 option for your sash weight. You can actually see a chart on the S745-16 store page that tells you how much weight each option is designed to support.

The plastic piece is called a top sash guide. Yours looks like our 18-110, though you should review the dimensions we show on this product's store page to confirm they align.

Hello, Dee. I don't think I requested any other information, unless you spoke to someone other than myself. I made my recommendations to you in my prior response. Is there anything about those recommendations that you weren't sure about?

Hello,
I did speak to someone and they said I would have to send a picture of the existing balance from a different window even though the lenght was different.
Thank you for your help
Stay well

Thanks for clarifying. I thought you had already decided that you needed the S745-16 for your window, as per the person you had look at your window. I didn't know the exact size was still in question. If it is, then seeing that unrelated stamp unfortunately doesn't tell me anything.

If you aren't sure that you need the 16", then let me know and I will do my best to walk you through it.
