Replacement for Milestone Series 1000 SH Aluminum from Florida Extruders International, Inc.

Florida Extruders, the manufacture, is out of business. I have several windows that the springs have broken. Balances measures from metal end-to-end 29" with a width of 9/16". Channel is stamped with 28F only. Other information from the label on the windows is: Car # 279-170 Model 1000 SH Rating: H-LC45 1349X1600" (53X63"). I need sets of channel replacements for 3 windows this size. Please advise if you have an acceptable replacements.

We are in the same situation

For a lot of you Naples area owners. I have the Florida Extruder's Milestone 1000 single hung impact windows in my condo. They were installed in 2004 so, they are the heavy impact windows. I live in a community that has all these windows, some impact and some not that were installed before 2004. After researching these windows with your service department advisors I order six sets of the following parts that all fit perfectly and perform nicely. I should mention that the balances I took out were labled 2850 but the sash weighed 40 pounds. I decided to go with a little more spring strength and ordered the S378-29 option 2860 channel balancers as my "boots" were 7/8" deep. I also replaced the Top Sash Guides with 18-180 and the Take Out Clips 16-002. The windows can't work any better! Thanks SWISCO for your service advisors and your parts.
