Replacement for Truth 20544 on Marvin Casement

Home Owner from Minnesota
Ihave multiple casement windows circa 1983 with 2x4 walls. Many of the mechanisms are loose and need replacement.

The other thing I don't like are the old style crank handles that are used on these windows, they stick out quite a bit and interfere (to some extent with shades. Are there any versions of the mechanisms that could be used with these windows?

Hi Joel, thank you for posting,

To further review, we will need to see pictures of the original operators where we can see the base and arm(s). From there we can determine the style your window uses and also confirm if a folding handle is available. Thank you!

Here are several photos of the current windows and cranks for our casement windows to help you determine if folding handles could be used for us.

Regards,

Joel

Thank you,

Your windows use the 39-031 and 39-032 or the 39-155 and 39-156 operators. The main difference between the two styles is the length of the short link arm. Please compare the dimensions and orientation to confirm a good match!

We do offer the 39-107FK folding handle and cover kit for this style of operator base. It may help for blinds, but we cannot guarantee it will give the full clearance that is needed. Take a look and let us know if you have any additional questions!
