Replacement handles

I have a 3 1/2 inch by 5/16 lever pin for a storm door and need to know if these handles will fit this.

Our 40-101 has a spindle that's 5/16" square, but it's only 2-7/16" long.

To be honest, we actually don't sell the handles separately in most cases. Our 40-101 and 40-184 are the only such examples and they are special exceptions.

It's probably more realistic to replace the entire lockset. If that's something you want to pursue, I'd be happy to review photos of what you have now so that I can check our inventory for a match.

For the 40-184 handle pair, is the spindle also 5/16''? I'm not so much concerned about the length, I just want to make sure the spindle will fit through the existing hole.

Yes, that spindle is also 5/16". These are both designed to work on the same style lockset, just with different finishes: the 40-101 goes with the 40-049 and the 40-184 goes on the 40-183.
