I'm not sure what could work for this door. Was there ever an internal mortise lock between the inside and outside handle? It would be in the door itself, and when you turn the key on the door the mortise's hook would extend.

If not, I recommend a surface-mount handle set like our 82-005. The only problem is that these have a hole spacing of 4-15/16", while yours looks more like 3-15/16". You'd need to re-drill new holes. You can use our 82-306 as a keyed exterior handle.
