Replacement parts for double hung vinyl windows

Hello,
I've owned my home for several years and am finally getting around to fixing some poor-performing windows. I need some help determining what pieces to order and would appreciate your help. I have double hung windows at look like they were installed in 2005. The label says series "0401 double hung, conforms to AAMA 1302 and HUD UM111."

There are various problems, some repeated on more than one window.

Problem 1: the coil on one side of the foot is detached but the coil on the other is still attached to the foot, but the foot does not go up with the window. I removed a whole coil and shoe for measurements:
Height: 3.5" (3 and 5/8 with plastic separators)
Width:1 and 1/4"
Depth:1/2"

Problem 2: The tilting mechanism on one side of the window itself is bent or broken. For this window, I am unsure if the shoe still swivels. I could pry it with a screwdriver, but it was hard to move.

Problem 3:
both coils are attached but the shoe does not move up and down with the window and the window will not stay up

Problem 3: the window does not tilt. The swiveling show is either broken or stuck in place.

Thank you for the the help!

Thanks for writing in. Most likely the pivot shoes and pivot bars should be replaced, though be sure to check the coil springs for any tears also. Also, when removing this hardware you may want to clean the window jambs with a silicon spray to ensure smoother function. This looks like a 15-177 Pivot Shoe, which works with Series 152 Coil Balances. Without seeing an undamaged pivot bar I can't be certain what you have, but the 26-030, 26-226, 26-352 and 26-466 all work with this shoe. Compare any of these to your old hardware and let me know what you think.

Thank you so much! Two follow up question:
1. Do I need to replace the shoe and the coils for each problem? Or just replace the detached coils?
2. How do I find the weight of the coil? I don't see any markings on mine.
THanks!

If there's no stamp printed on the original coil, you'll have to weigh your sash on a scale and divide that by how many individual springs support it: in your case, 4.

So for example, if your sash is 20 pounds, you'll want to pick the 5 pound weight option (2 on each side). Hopefully that makes sense.

As for what you need to replace, you can reuse everything that's undamaged except for the springs. If you replace one spring, you should replace them all. But for the plastic parts you can keep using them if they aren't broken.
