Replacement parts for handles and window lock

Home Owner from Park ridge illinois

I am looking for replacement parts for the two pictures above. One is the lock on the window the piece is broken off where you push down to lock it. The other is the crank handle. I think we may need to replace the whole piece for the crank handle(hardware on window and handle). These are older parts as I'm sure you can tell.

Thank you

Shannon

Hey, Shannon. Looks like you have an older style Bilt Best window. The parts for your window are no longer available, but I have a couple ideas.

I recommend considering our 39-027E and 39-028E operators, along with a new 39-533 track and 39-114L handle. I think these are a strong option, however it won't be an easy 1:1 replacement. It will require some adaptation for it to work; specifically, your old wood sill cover won't fit the old operators. I'm not sure if you can adapt your existing cover to the new operator, so you may even need a new sill trim entirely. I recommend contacting a local wood shop or carpenter.

Just like the operator, the lock in your first photo is also no longer available. I'm not sure if we're gonna have a match for this even if you adapt the window. See if you could get our 38-075 lock and 38-089 keeper to work for your window. This will also like require you to adapt or make a new window stop, but there is no guarantee.
