Hello,

It looks like your t-lock shoe is similar to the one that comes with our S795, with one exception. Your shoe has a groove in it that ours does not. This difference will keep you from replacing just the bottom attachment. We can offer a replacement, but you'll need to replace the balances on both sides of the window with one of our S795 balances. You'll need to measure the length of your balance and read the stamp on the back of your existing balance to choose the correct spring strength option for the replacements. Thank you.

These windows are 12 years old and all the shoes have broken. We have 25 windows that all need a repair.

Hello there. Here's a video about how to install the Series 795. Although this is about conversion from an older-outdated balance to the Series 795, it will still detail the process of installing the Series 795 and should be of use to you. Let us know if you have any other questions.

So will I need to change out the metal piece on the window itself. Or just the balance ??

The entire metal piece shown on our S795 product page is the entire balance, which is what you'll need to replace on both sides of the window. You'll need to measure the length of your metal channel and read the number stamped on the back of your balance to choose the correct spring strength option for your replacement balances.

Jump to 3:15 in the last video I sent you to see how to install these balance and reverse the process to remove your current hardware. Thank you!
