Replacement sliding door handles

A home owner from Potomac, Maryland says:

I am looking to replace these handles, because they broke when the door was opened aggressively. I do not care about color or style so much, but I would like one that locks from the inside (we have the piece that locks it). The back of the outside handle says "Imperial USA" and "Keynetic."

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

Tracy

A home owner from Potomac, Maryland says:

The distance between the two screw holes is slightly under 4". The whole thing is about 6 1/2"

Long. The brass handle is on the insideX and the dark-colored handle is on the outside.

Thanks again!

Sincerely,

Tracy

Hello! Please see our 82-086. I think this will work for you. However it's important to note that our thumb lever is offset, rather than centered. It looks like yours might be, as well, but it's tough to tell. If you need your thumb lever to be centered then consider instead our 82-035 set, along with an 82-315 key lock to install on the outside handle. We have a video on how these work together that you may also find helpful.

For the mortise lock, see our 82-260.

A home owner from Potomac, Maryland says:
Thank you very much! I believe our thumb lock is centered, so I will get 82-035. Do I also need to buy the outside key lock, or can I just install 82-035?

Also, if the mortise lock is the same as what I already have, do i need to replace that as well?

Thank you again!

Tom from SWISCO responded:

You don't need the outside key lock at all, but I saw that your old handle had one so I figured I'd offer it. The 82-035 installs just fine without it, just understand you can't unlock or lock the door from the outside.

As long as your current mortise lock is in good condition then you can reuse it. I'm certain our 82-035 will interact with it.

A home owner from Potomac, Maryland says:
Thank you! I will let you know how it goes.
A home owner from Potomac, Maryland says:
Sorry...one more question: is 82-035 just the interior handle, or does it come with a second one for the exterior? If I need to get a separate exterior handle, and I don't need a lock, what do you recommend?

Thank you (again)!

If you would like an exterior pull that goes along with the 82-035 handle set, our 82-044 outside pull is showing as a related item. Take a look and see what you think.
