Replacement spindles on the top of bi-fold closet doors.

Question

Hi Swisco. I am looking for the 2 top spindles on bi-fold closet doors I have in my house. Both the spindle that holds the door in place and the spindle that has the roller on it that moves when the door is opened and closed.
I do not know the manufacturer of the doors, but they are about 25 years old. I cannot find any thing on the actual spindles either. Doors are solid pine so they do have some weight to them. Current spindles are operational but have gotten quite loose in their metal housing from years of use.
Roller is 3/4" in diameter, spindles are 5/16" in diameter and the top of the spindle that holds the door in place is 1/4" in diameter. Pictures show the spindles to be a bit over 1" in length. I do not know the total length as I have not removed a spindle yet. Spindles are still solid in the holes in the doors so I was hoping to see a picture of what the spindle looks like that is inside the door to know the best way to remove it.

Hello,

It looks like you have the Stanley wood bi-fold door hardware. The spindle with the nylon roller guide would be the 23-114. The bottom adjusting pivot is 23-113, and the top spring-loaded top pivot is our 23-112. To remove them, place a putty knife under the collar and work the pins out of the door. Thanks for posting!
