Replacing a TRUTH 30410 door roller

Quick Learner from 68516
I received a replacement roller from you last week. It was order #2337837 and included part number 81-018. It is not a match to the TRUTH roller. It is close, but the tabs to attach it to the door are flush with the assembly, while the Truth assembly tabs are lowered from the assembly. The ones I received will not go far enough up into the door and will not allow the rollers to go over the track during installation. Is there another model that might work better?

Hello,

Unforutnately, we do not carry a version of this roller with mounting tabs that sit below the housing. With that being said, have you tried adjusting the height of the roller? If you retract the wheels further into the housing, that may give you the clearance that you need as long as the rest of the specifications below match up to yours.

I did try raising the rollers all the way up. It still does not provide the needed clearance.
I will use the ones you sent and cut a couple notches out of the channel for the wheels to slide into. Thanks for your response.

The Truth roller you now have in your patio door is no longer available but I have two ideas that you could consider before making cutouts in the track. Take a look at the 81-128 roller used on Andersen wood patio doors. Andersen switched over to this roller, which is installed differently from your original assembly.

Another idea would be to swap out the wheels using the 81-266 roller axle kit if your existing housing is in working order. Take a look at the suggested parts on the website, along with the related videos.
