Replacing channel balances

Quick Learner from Vermont, USA
I am looking to replace the channel balances in my windows. I do not know the manufacturer of the windows, but I have taken pictures of the balances. The measurement of the balance portion Is 30 inches. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there!

Your balance reminds me of the Series 770 except it appears to have the 62-105 attached at the end of the cord. We can still help but this must be a custom order. The old stamp doesn't match up to any of the S770 stamp options though so we will need to know the exact weight of the window sash to get this moving for you.

We'd be happy to identify the pivot shoe but I'm afraid it's too damaged. May we see an undamaged version removed from the window track? We will also need you to write out its thickness and width. Finally, how many balances are you looking to replace?

Hi!

The weight of the window is 25 pounds. I have attached a picture of the shoe. The measurements are 9/16 inch thick and 1 1/4 inch wide.

I will most likely be replacing the shoes, as well as the channel balance, is there a combination that I could use that would not require customization?

As far as the quantity I am looking for, I will only be ordering two channel balances at the beginning. But if it fixes the problem I am having in my windows, I will be ordering quite a few more. Around 25 or so.

Thank you for your help.

Thank you for getting back to me! I'm afraid there isn't a stock configuration that can replace what you have here. With that said, I will email you a purchase link for (2) S770-30 balances with the 30D stamp and 62-105 hook attached. A pair of balances with this stamp can support a sash weighing 24 to 29 pounds.

For the shoe, see the 15-208. This can't be included in the link so don't forget to add the needed quantity to your cart separately.

Let me know if you have any questions!
