Request for model number to purchase replacement window balancer.

Need to replace balancers on our sliding windows. These are 21 inches long, 9/16 inches deep and 1/2 inch wide. The marking on the balancer says 2040D BSI.

Hello there. This looks like either an S380-21 or S385-21 Channel Balance. The only difference between these two balances is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe, or the heel-to-toe measurement, so compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best.

In either case, for a stamp option choose 2040. Let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you very much Bob. I measured my existing balancer and it came to 1 1/16 inch. So it is little less than 1 3/32 and longer than 1 inch. Attached is the photo.

Which model do you recommend I should get? Appreciate your help.

Thanks! In that case, I believe our Series 385 is the better option. Odds are that you have the 1-3/32" shoe and that it just wore down over time from friction. That's very common, so I'm not at all surprised at your measurement.

Thank you very much. Makes sense. I will order the 385s.

I received the channel balance units and successfully installed them. The windows are now sliding up and down smoothly. Thanks for your help Bob.
