Ribbed balance for a tilt widow

Handy Person from Bargersville, In

I have a balance that has the number 34B stamped on it. I had ordered 2 of the S770-34 balance, however, what I have is completely different. The top of balance is the clip as shown that installs into a slot at the top of the window. (Pic 1)

The bottom piece is a type of cam (I?m assuming) as it is missing) that the side tab at the bottom of the window would go into.(Pic 2)

Any suggestions as to the type of replacement balance I need?

Thanks Fred

Ps...can the order I received be returned for credit?

So that the incorrect part is not ordered again, let's have you send us detailed photos of the entire part. Include the attachment s and we'll see what we can come up with.

Continued from my earlier correspondence The balance is the ribed type with the clip attaching at the top(note: product # 15-198 is identical to the clip that i have. Again, the number stamped on the balance is 34B and also has BS1 L stamped on it.

You have a 34" ribbed balance with 15-198 top balance attachment on the cord.

What is attached on the bottom of the balance channel? Can you show a good balance?

The 15-198 part( top balance attachment on the cord) is the exact part needed to attach at the top of the inside window frame.

Included is the picture of the type of cam needed for the bottom of the 34B balance.

Thanks for your help!

Also, what is the return policy on the pair of balances I ordered?

Perfect, thank you. We're finally starting to get to the bottom of this mystery. This is a small ribbed balance with a T-Lock shoe that I believe will have to be custom made. We can help, but we still need just a bit more information. They're easy to get, though. Please tell me the length of the metal channel and the color of the brake on the T-lock shoe shown in this image. You'll have to remove the balance in order to see the color of the shoe's brake. Let me know if you need help doing this.

You can return the parts you ordered, yes. See our return policy here.

The shoe color is gray and 34" long.

My understanding of this balance is the15-198

clips in at the top and the bottom tab on the actual window goes into the slot of the shoe that is at the bottom of the balance when installing it at angle. Won't just any slotted shoe at the bottom of a 34B ribbed balance work?

Thanks
