Roller identification
If I had understood the "dimples" had a function in holding the wheel in the door, I would have chosen the other wheels, though from the drawing they didn't look as precise a match as the ones I chose. I had no idea the dimples served a purpose.
Hopefully there is someone available to compare this wheel so we have an answer soon. The door didn't slide well in the middle when we tried the new wheels, but curiously did slide nicely at both ends of the track. We think we resolved that today with steel wool on the track. Just corrosion. How strange that it slid perfectly on old wheels until recently, when one old wheel broke and then it didn't slide at all, and we then found Swisco and you know the rest of the story.
So, the remaining frustrating problem is the wheels fall right out when you try to rehang the door unless they are blocked with masking tape. And since the door is extremely heavy that is a nightmare.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, Beverly. Your roller has been discontinued for a few years now. The manufacturer never made a substitute, unfortunately, and we do not have a confirmed replacement. However I can say that of all the rollers in our inventory, the one that has the best chance of working is the 81-148. The dimensions and style are obviously different, and I can't guarantee that it will work, but we don't have anything better.
I am sorry that we cannot offer you a more confident recommendation.
I do think the 81-148 is a better match than what you got previously, yes, but there's still no guarantee that it will work. There isn't really anything on the market that is equivalent to your roller.
