Rusty pivot bars

Quick Learner from North Carolina
Here's the pictures. The issue is trying to remove a rusty
pivot bar which I can't seem to dislodge, in or out; and replace it with 26-040.

Thanks, Rich

Thanks I reviewed that previously and again; which gave me the impression I could push it into the channel if I couldn't pull it out. So far neither has worked. It's quite rusty l/corroded. Do you happen to know how protected the glass is from the channel I am pulling and pushing on? Thanks Rich

The channel that the pivot bar occupies is hollow from end to end. You can, theoretically, push the pivot bar straight through to the other side. However, you don't want to hammer it in or anything like that. The last thing you want is to risk cracking the vinyl. I'm not sure how long you soaked the pivot bar in WD-40 but in some cases, you have to really let it soak for at least 24 hours.
