S 600 Spiral Balance 30"

This came out of an 30 year old vinyl window that did not have a manufacturer's label.
It has a red tip. It is 30" in length and appears to have a 5/8" diameter. My sash is 18 lbs. The space between the end metal tips is 1/2 inch. Is this a S 600 30" spiral balance. I will be attaching it to the 15-046 Pivot shoe

I agree with your assessment. If the tube measures 30" and 5/8" diameter, you will need the S600-30 spiral balance with a red tip. This balance is compatible with the 15-046 pivot shoe. Please let us know if you have any additional questions!

Thanks Lauren,
I have ordered a set of balances and pivot shoes, and feel confident that it should work. I do have little wonky feeling about doing the "cut out" method to remove the shoes, but the Swissco videos look pretty straight forward. Fingers crossed.
