SLIDING DOOR LOCK MECHANISM
I am trying to find replacement parts for the sliding door locking mechanism shown here. I don't have any identifying information on this specific door. In the same area we have a swinging door that has Ashland hardware which leads e to believe that this MIGHT be Ashland but I don't see anything that identifies it. Do you have something you can recommend that can replace this?
Eric
Thanks for your reply and guidance. So I only need 82-087? Also, dumb question but the picture shows the thumb lever going the opposite direction of what we had. Is there a difference? Or can it be installed going to either the left or right?
Thanks
Eric
Hey, Eric. As long as everything else is in good condition then the handle set may be all you need. If you wanted, you could test the mortise manually with a screwdriver to see if the hook extends properly without the thumb lever. If it fails, then you can use our 82-265. Otherwise you can keep using it with the new hardware.
Our 82-086 can be flipped around or used for either the left or right side, yes. The pull is mounted to the base plate with screws so it's very easy to turn the pull to face whatever orientation is necessary.
Thanks that's great. For the 82-087, I'm trying to match to the color that we have on our inside handle to your colors. WOuld you say that we have Satin Nickel or Antique Silver?
Thanks
Eric
That looks like Satin Nickel to me. I expanded the image of this finish a little in the hopes that it will help you decide. Let us know what you think!
