SWISCO Blog "installing window"

Part # 15-046

Hello,
It sounds like you may be asking how to install the 15-046 into the window jamb. If so, see our video below that shows the process of making cutouts to insert the pivot shoe if the window does not already have them. Thanks for posting!

Hello again,
I was told by Lester in our customer service team that you are still unsure of how to complete your installation after reviewing our video. I can't be sure but it sounds like you may be having trouble inserting the pivot bars into the 15-046 pivot shoes in order to reinstall the sash.
If so, you would follow the same process shown at the end of our video but it can be a trickier process than it appears since the 15-046 cam is enclosed, preventing the pivot bar from sliding easily into the shoe. The trick is to lock one pivot shoe a few inches higher in the track than the other side and install the sash at an angle to insert one side at a time into the cam.
Once both sides are in place, you will gently push the sash into the window frame. It's not a simple process and can require some elbow grease. Hopefully, this answers your question. If not, please get back to us with photos and a more detailed description of the problem you're having and we will be happy to look into this further for you.

Great! Just let us know if you have any other questions.
