I was told that the info on the spring/balance was SWISCO S351-29
option 0283. I assume that the S351-29 2830 may be the correct option for replacement. Is this so?
What other pieces would be needed if I purchase this unit. Would you purchase a new clip for the top of the window? Would there be anything else you would suggest?

You are absolutely correct, Kathy. The S351-29 does offer a 2830 option. There must have been a misprint or misunderstanding somewhere. You may also go with the 16-002 take out clips if yours happen to be rusted or damaged in any way. You may also be in the need of a top sash guide.
