I have R.O.W windows(Joliet, IL now out of business). The sashes are fine but the vinyl sash side pieces and carriers are becoming brittle/broken and some of the pins attached to the windows that travel on the carrier/spring are broken.
Do you offer parts or replacements?
Thanks,
Tom

Thank you for contacting us, Tom.
To get stated, remove an old sash balance from the window. Take a few photos of the balance, its attachments, and any markings you may find. Upload the photos so we can take a look. Be sure to include the length of the metal portion of the balance only. Also if you can, please include the weight of the window sash along with your submission.

Wooden double hung windows, glass 29"HighX31" Wide.
Balance is 64" tall on the inside of the windows, with two springs and the white plastic catches shown in pictures. Windows have metal plate with pin to match.
Original mfr is R.O.W. in Joliet, IL
Need similar pins and similar catches.

This looks a lot like the 15-104 Caradco Friction Shoe; take a look.

I agree-looks right.
Do you have the plate with pin that mounts to the sash and mates with this shoe?
How about springs? One got totally distorted when the pin broke-approximately 26" long.
Thanks,
Tom

Hey Tom,
Just wanted to let you know we just added new SWISCO product 20-016, Tilt Pin. It looks similar to the one shown in the image you sent us, take a look and compare the measurements to see if it will be a suitable replacement.

Hey Donna-looks perfect.
All that leaves is the spring-any luck? It is 3/8" wide X26" long.

Tom, it appears you may need a complete replacement balance system. We recommend you go to a local mill-work who still makes windows, and purchase a new set of jamb liners from them. They will need the two heights, inside and outside for the sill slope and thickness of sash.
