Sash Carrier Assembly and Balance

Question

Hello I just bought two new Sash Carrier Assemblys from your site (Item # 15-272) because the old ones broke, see pics. But there is no way to get the metal pin from the old balance through the hole in the new assembly because the new assembly is solid plastic. Is there any way to do this? Do I need to get a new balance with the sash carrier assembly already connected?

Thanks for reaching out to us. It appears we don't sell this style of shoe. What we suggest is to replace the entire balance with the Series 795 which comes attached with the 15-195 t-lock shoe. The installation is straightforward: you twist the bottom t-lock shoe in the window track and screw the balance channel at the top of the window. You may also want to measure the length of the metal channel to determine the proper length and weigh the window sash on a scale to confirm it falls within the 13 to 19-pound range that the 30B option supports.
