Sash Spring

I have Windsor Windows circa approx. 2000 and on one window, both sash springs came loose from the connector when it appears the connector failed (is in two pieces inside sash track). Believe the replacement for the connector is a Cardaco Friction Shoe (product code 15-104). Am stumped on trying to determine what is available to replace the springs. They are approximately 31 inches long, however is hard to tell since the one pictured is damaged and therefore the length is an estimate.

We won't be able to help you with these springs, unfortunately. The reason you're having trouble with them is because they're meant to be built into the jamb liner. The jamb liner is, effectively, the balance. That's what you'll need to replace.
If these are wood windows, then I recommend contacting a local mill work. They should be able to set you up with new jamb liners.

Thanks for your response. Have found an authorized Windsor Window dealer in our town and he is working up the order to replace sashes and install them.
