Sash support balance

A quick learner from Vincent OH says:
On a double hung Wincore window. Has a 6R stamped on it. Need to know what part number I need to order and what pound it is. Thank you.

Thanks for writing in. Your pivot shoe looks like our 15-087. This is compatible with our Series 180 Coil Balances. If your old bracket is undamaged, you can re-use it; but otherwise see our 16-024. Now, as far as the correct spring weights to select, I don't believe the '6R' stamp on the pivot shoe is reliable; for this kind of coil balance system, you're better off going by the stamp numbers on the coil balances themselves. If there are none on the coil balances, or you are uncertain, weigh your window sash. Let us know that exact weight, and we'll work out what you need. Many thanks.
