Hi, I need to replace this part in my sash window, the coil has broken down and window won't stay open. Also I don't see a cutout on my window to remove and replace balance spring so how do I do that? Thank you.
The shoe is stamped 550 PAT#5,704,165.
Coil spring is 1/2" wide.
The coil close to the shoe is stamped with number 6 or it could be 9.

Unforutnately, we do not carry an exact replacement for your coil balance pivot shoe but our 17/32" thick 15-199 Pivot Shoe should work well as a replacement. You'll need to compare the dimensions below to yours to confirm that this would be a good fit for your window.

You only need to weigh the sash supported by the balances you are replacing. 13kg is equivalent to about 28-1/2 pounds. For that sash weight, I'd recommend using two S160-07 coil on each side. Take a look and let us know if you need anything else.
