In 2004 I bought a Grand Horizons double hung set of windows. Actually 3 houses worth. We were cleaning a bottom sash and slipped and the part that holds the right side window in place allowing it to tilt snapped back in it's track and broke. I think it's made by Amcraft but not sure. I can't find any tag either. Just a sales receipt from the original purchase ABC Supply/ Des Moines, Iowa. Went there but they don't carry the brand anymore. Please view attached photo's and hopefully you can help me. Thank you for your research.

Hello! This part is called a pivot shoe. Yours in particular isn't made anymore, but I believe our 15-046 can be used as an alternative. Review its dimensions below to verify.
Your balance appears to be the same design as the Series 765. This spring is actually built into the metal channel and is not meant to be removed; you have to take it out as all one assembly. It does look like your clearance is pretty slim but in most cases you can simply unscrew the balance, detach it from the show, and pull it straight out of the channel. Hopefully that's possible here.
Once the channel balance is removed, it should be a simply matter to slide the shoe up to the cutout. All orders can be placed on our site at your convenience.
