We can probably replace this balance, but it looks like some important components are missing from it. We'll need to see an undamaged version of this balance in order to identify a match. Specifically, there should be a clip or shoe or hook of some kind at the end of the cord. It doesn't even look like your balance has a cord anymore. Do you have an identical window in the house that may still have its balances intact? If I can see whatever was at the end of that cord, I can tell you what balance will work as a replacement.

Here are three photos of a working balance. Any advice would be appreciated!

This looks like an old style balance that's not made anymore, but we can still replace it. Basically, we'd be kind of "Frankensteining" it together using our S770-29 channel balance but with the bottom clip swapped out for our 62-105 hook. We'd also be using the 29D stamp, which is for sashes weighing 23 through 28 pounds.

Does this sound good to you? If so, please let me know how many you need and we'll email you an order link and price quote for the requested quantity.

Thanks so much for your help in finding a balance which will work! The S770-29 with the 62-105 bottom clip looks like it might work and I would need TEN of the "Frankensteinian" but please quote me a price first.

I'd like to order ten, but before I do, I would need instructions on installation of these balances. If you could provide that, I'd be greatly appreciative.

Sure, these are very easy to install. You just screw it in at the top, then pull the hook down to connect to the pivot shoe.

Many thanks for your help Tom! Please send me an email order link for 770-29 with the 62-105 bottom clips and I will complete the order for ten of them.
