I have a single hung PGT in a 2007 home in Ft Myers, FL. At least one of the slider mechanisms is defective so the window will not stay up. I know at least the top cap is broken, so I am looking for both sliders and whatever hardware goes with it so I can install it.

I cannot see any "stamp" number on the channel balance. The window spring seems heavy to me and I think that is why all of my PGT single hungs are difficult to move up and down.
Are the lower numbers less spring tension? How do I identify what stamp I have?

To start, compare your balance to the Series 395 balance. It looks like the right one. As for the weight code, if you don't see the code on the balance, you can just weigh the window. The lower numbers hold lighter window sashes. There is a weight chart in the product description for each balance on our site. The chart tells you the weight ranges of each option that the balance is available in.
