I'm replacing pivot shoes in tilt windows with 30 inch 600 sprial balance and I found that the mating parts in the window sash are rusted and broken and I would like to replace them but don't know the part number, i would also like to replace the broken top slide lock spring part shown in the photo below.
Thank you, Steve

Hello, thank you for writing in. I'm afraid your pivot bar is quite difficult to identify. Would you be able to show it to me removed from the window? As for your tilt latch, could you please tell me the distance between the installation holes from center to center? All of this will assist me in identifying the best parts for you. |
Julia, thank you for responding, I'm also replacing the pivot shoes, so maybe that will help identify the pivot bar. I'm a handyman and don't have access to the sash. The pivot shoes are .540" thick by .970" wide by 1.950" long and the swivel bushing slot is approximately .180" by .375". The pivot bar is rusted off inside so it's hard to be exact. I'm including a picture of the pivot shoe and the tilt latch which has a center distance from hole to hole of 1.160" with .180 diameter thru hole.
I'll be waiting for your reply and again thank you.
Steve

Hey there, Steve, maybe I can help. For your tilt latch, I think you have an older version of the 26-394. The design is slightly different but it should still work the same, though it doesn't come with the same nite latch yours have now. You can still reuse them if they're in good condition. I'm less confident about the pivot shoe. We don't have anything in this exact style or size. The best match we have would be our 15-173. Review our photos and dimensions for this part and see what you think. For the pivot bar, I'm thinking the 26-040 is our best bet. Let me know if you had any questions about these products. |
