Secondary lock for old sliding glass patio door

Question

I would like to add a secondary lock to an old slide glass patio door (see picture). Would Secondary Patio Door Lock, Wingless (82-051) be viable for this door in conjunction with the 82-054 Secondary Patio Door Lock Limiter?

As this would not be a replacement, are appropriate fasteners and any other hardware required for installation available?

Hello, thanks for writing in. These parts do not come with screws because they work on several different kinds of doors, and there are a lot of factors that go into it, such as thickness of the frame and how close the glass is to where you would drill. You can consider our 33-022 or 33-090 white pan head screws, but it's important you take these details in mind.

In addition to the 82-054, you might also want to consider the 82-053 and 82-052 as keeper options for the 82-051 lock. They all have different mounting options and it's difficult to say which would work best for your door. You may need to use a piece of wood on the floor to build up the keeper.
