Series 140 replacement constant force balance system for tilt windows

Question

i watched your replacement video and that looks exactly like what my window needs. From what i can tell i need to order the series 140 balance system both right and left side. The channel is 1- 1/4 wide and the window weighs about 11 lbs at best. The spring failed and now i just use the window without any spring. Am i right on what to order?

The photos are from my other window that is the same size , and that grossness is all cleaned up now how embarrising LOL

Hi Joe,

Thanks for writing in! The balance shoe in your window looks closer in appearance to the 15-111 Pivot Shoe. You'll need to remove your existing shoe from the window and compare the dimensions to confirm.

You may also need the 26-241 Pivot Bar.

Alternate image for 15-111

This shoe is most often used with the Series 160 Coil Balance. Although, to confirm that this is the correct series, you'll need to confirm that the width of your spring is 1/2".

If you are certain the sash weighs 11lbs, you'll need the S160-05 to replace the coils; be sure to double check the weight. The compatible cover is the 15-150S 1/2" Coil Single Support.
