Want to purchase necessary parts to reinstall the spring balance to my single hung window. I think I am missing 2 metal clips to hang the balances. Do I have to remove my window pane to replace the balance? Thanks.

Hi Yee. I believe you're referring to the Take-Out Clips, which are simple metal clips that help keep the balances in place as you reinstall them. The 16-002 is a commonly used version of this clip, but without seeing the originals from your windows I'm not sure if this will fit. Take a look and see what you think. The video below shows how to remove and install non-tilt window channel balances.
