Silverline Glass Door Lock and Latch Replacement

Home Owner from Pennsylvania
I replaced the mortise lock for this door last year with a generic one from home depot. It didn't quite fit, so I had to cut some of the frame. It was a little stiff to turn the latch, but it worked. Fast forward a year, my tenant broke the lock, the latch, and part of the frame. I'm wondering if I can still repair this with parts from Swisco, or if I need to get a whole new door.

Hello,

It looks like your door uses a handle set like the 82-086 but, unfortunately, we can't determine what mortise lock you'd need without seeing the original. Even if we did identify the correct replacement, there's a good chance that you wouldn't be able to install it properly due to the damage to the frame.

In cases like this, our best option would be to see if you could install something like the 82-005 surface-mounted handle set, which bypasses the internal mortise lock entirely. Keep in mind that adaptations such as drilling new holes in the frame will likely be necessary. Look over our video below to see what you think. Thank you!

Thanks, I think 82-005 will do the trick. Just ordered it. Thanks for your help!
