Hello! Your pivot shoe appears to match our 15-199, which is designed to be compatible with either the 3/8" Series 165 or 1/2" Series 160 coil spring. You will need to measure the width of the band on your old spring to confirm the better option for this window.

Hi Tom thanks for the Pivot Shoe advise- here is a follow up with your request of the coil spring width. Please advise on best coil for window. I measured width of the coil unit and Length from coil unit to bottom of the window and Length of the coil unit itself.

Hope this helps!

These photos don't tell me anything new, unfortunately. You need to remove one of the existing coil springs from the window and measure the band. That's the only way you're going to be able to choose between the two Series that I mentioned.

If the band is 3/8" wide, you'll want to pick the Series 165. If it's 1/2", then pick the Series 160 instead.

You'll have to remove the springs to determine the proper stamp option, anyway. Removing the coil spring from the window is unfortunately a necessary step at this stage. It has to be done before you can pick the right replacement.

Ok I will- can you tell me what you mean by the band and is the stamp the housing unit that holds the coils. Sorry new to terminology and process

When I say the band, I mean the flat par of the coil spring itself. This is also where you'll find the weight rating stamp, which should be only a few digits long.

Which leads me to say that I don't recognize a stamp of 801020. The stamp I'm talking about should literally say something like "6 lbs," or similar. It will be printed on the metal band of the coil spring itself.

Hi Tom: Last question the coil is 5.5lbs- do I need to order new pivot bars or are the new series 160 pivot shoes compatible with my old window pivot bars

Looking at this photo, your pivot bar should be fully compatible with our 15-199. There's no need to get a new one as long as these are in good condition.
