Simonton double hung balance broke

Question

Hello, we had two of our balancers break. The windows are Simonton. I was told that there is a upgraded replacement balancer and we would need different pivot bars too.  I sure would appreciate help with getting the correct parts. Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out to us. Simonton unfortunately discontinued this balance assembly some years ago. Because of that, we're unable to supply an exact match. However we do have an alternative that functions just as well if you don't mind doing a little handiwork. The video below will go over exactly what you need to buy and how it installs, step by step. Just note that you will need the precise weight of your sash to determine the proper spring calibrations.
