Simonton tilting sash windows Dual Coil Parts

Question

I need new parts to allow my windows to stay up when opened. They fall back down at this time. I need help purchasing correct parts for my Simonton window and video how they fit together
3/8" Coil Dual Support
Dual Coils
Pivot Lock Shoes
Pivot Bars

Hey David. The pivot shoe looks like the 15-228. The tandem housing would be the 15-205. This works with 3/8" wide Series 165 Coil balance springs. For replacement coil springs, you have to choose spring weights. These designate the weight each individual coil can hold. The stamps on your old springs are not clear--therefore I'd weigh the window sash. You can use that exact weight to select the spring weights needed. The video below explains how. For the pivot bar, your exact kind is not available, but in our experience the 26-021, 26-241 or 26-444 could work as substitutes. Though they only have one 'horn', they'll fit the pivot shoe just fine. Review the dimensions to determine which best matches your old pivot bar.
